I know you're probably gonna say the experience is different for everyone, etc etc but which did you start with first

Narration is best for reaching sentience, visualization is more or less a novelty and doesn't really help a tulpa to grow on its own, only perfects their form

A form is useful for acting as a symbolic "point" to direct narration towards. You do not need to worry about visualizing it as well as possible right now, as long as you can see it that's enough.

May I ask how long it was? Occasionally learning this became a lot for me to deal with, and I had to take a break from her for a few days. We never really abandon each other though, and we've always been able to pick things back up eventually.
